Subject：Miraculous Addition of One Italian Word

Even though we have posted our Dharma friend Vittorio Filesi's Italian version of Guru Chen's Dragon King Sutra Stanzas, some might have overlooked the Addendum at the end of that lengthy work.

So I would like to call to people's attention to this report which contains descriptions on miraculous events. The Addendum in English and Italian is presented below, and we will post this email as A0286 at our websites in the Miscellaneous and Inspirational Categories.

We will also add the Sutra Stanza as related work.

Addendum on the Translation into Italian Language

Thanks to my researches on the Web, years ago I met the site of Yogi Chen and Yogi Lin. I was struck by the fact that it contained a deep and huge mass of essays, writings, prayers, sadhanas, all available for free download or reading. It happened at that time that I dreamed Yogi Chen in the sky talking in my direction. But I couldn't hear His words, so I understood I had to examine in depth. Among the various prayers and invocations I found the "Dragon-King Sutra Stanzas" that I decided, under a personal vow, to translate into Italian to be useful to a wider audience.

During the translation of the stanza no. 65 the line, referred to the Goddess of the Ocean, wrote: "And told her she will become a man." I translated accordingly. Immediately on the screen, without my touching the keyboard appeared at the end of the sentence the additional "-cielo"(sky, heaven). So the meaning had to become "uomo-cielo" (man-heaven).

I informed Yogi Lin of this superior participation and he replied:"As to the supernatural change of 'man' to 'heavenly-man,' it was obviously a kind of 'divine guidance' because the reply was to a goddess, and her transformation in gender will result certainly not in a man but a male deity. So I have also amended the English version accordingly."

In the hope to have given a contribution to the distribution of this important Sutra, I say goodbye and thank who allowed me to disseminate this translation, errors of which are but mine.

Addendum sulla traduzione in lingua italiana

Grazie a mie ricerche sul Web, anni fa incontrai il sito di Yogi Chen e Yogi Lin. Rimasi colpito dal fatto che contenesse una massa imponente e profonda di saggi, scritti, preghiere, sadhane disponibili allo scaricamento e alla lettura gratuita. Accadde allora che sognai Yogi Chen nel cielo che parlava rivolto a me. Ma non udivo le sue parole, così capii che dovevo approfondire. Tra le diverse preghiere e invocazioni individuai le “Strofe del Sutra del Re Dragone”che decisi, con un voto personale, di tradurre in italiano per un pubblico più ampio.

Durante la traduzione della strofa n. 65, il verso, riferito alla Divinità dell'Oceano, diceva :"And told her she will become a man". Io tradussi :“E le disse che sarebbe diventata uomo”. Immediatamente sullo schermo, senza che io toccassi la tastiera comparve in fondo alla frase l'aggiunta '-cielo'. Quindi il termine doveva divenire 'uomo-cielo'.

Informai Yogi Lin dell'intervento superiore, che mi rispose via email: “Per ciò che concerne il cambiamento soprannaturale da 'uomo' a 'uomo-celeste', si è trattato di un tipo di 'guida divina' poiché la risposta era ad una dea, e la sua trasformazione del genere avrebbe comportato certamente non un uomo ma una divinità maschile. Così ho anche modificato in questo senso la versione inglese.”

Nella speranza di aver contribuito alla conoscenza di questo importante Sutra, saluto e ringrazio chi mi ha consentito la pubblicazione di questa traduzione, I cui errori sono soltanto miei.
