Repeatedly giving detailed advices will eventually come to an end.
Stubbornly insisting on one's way will be impossible to draw back.
To make progress or stop on the Dharma path depends on oneself.
Lowering hands to guide and receive had never paused for a moment.
Even in giving detailed and repetitive instructions to children, as they grow older it gradually becomes less effective. Not to mention in the case of those with set views, their paths are always up to themselves. With genuine intention to cultivate Bodhicitta, one should exert one's efforts toward progress without pausing. Buddhas' compassion in lowering their hands to guide and receive beings has consistently never taken a short break for rest.
