The Shell of Self　Yutang Lin

To escape one needs to exit from the shell.
Alas! The habitual grasping is so deep-rooted.
Extended one's head outside only as a gesture,
Immediately retracted it back into the old nest.

To escape is not an easy matter,
Its realization relies on perseverance.
Don't knit views to add coverings,
Better to stay away and do only practices.
