普照幽冥觀音　　　林鈺堂簡繁轉換 - 繁體

 

 

立於三龍之上的觀世音菩薩聖像是在十餘年前由一位在台北的女弟子以微小價格經由網拍請得的，供在我的關房佛桌上也有十餘年了。不久前內子注意到像上有了銅銹，正好弟子素馨來訪，我就請她帶回去清理，以此充她消業的資糧。昨天她將整體光潔的聖像帶回；今晨醒前我就得了下述的清晰感應之夢：

 

在一大房子內，我左手提此聖像（在夢中像背有一掛勾，我握著它），向下層走，而此像輕若無物，通體透明，猶如琥珀，並且發出柔和光明，照亮室內所有的人（有許多人）。接著下樓走了許多層，而在第三層後，聖像隱去。到最底層，出屋，外面猶如海底，也還是有很多人，然後再入屋，向上層走。到了最上第二層有一通道，像海關入口，一邊有一視窗，每人一到其前，即顯該人轉世後之要項，而該人即依之向另一側之官員報出。現在只記得有一人說：「只有十多個鐘頭。」（意思是出世後只有如此短暫壽命。）後面還有一些夢境，無關大要，就不去憶及來記載了。

 

此像已供十餘年，至今方顯此感應，特為之記，並攝影供眾。供奉此像應可利益幽冥眾生，而心中隨即思及之稱號即「普照幽冥觀音」。

 

　　南無普照幽冥觀音！

　　願慈光遍照，令一切地獄眾生皆得圓滿解脫！

Enlightening-All-Hell-Beings Guan Yin

The statue of Bodhisattva Guan Yin standing on top of three dragons was acquired by a female disciple in Taipei, Taiwan over a decade ago at a minimal price through internet auctions. And it has since then been installed on the altar table for worship in my study. Not long ago my wife noticed that there were signs of corrosion over its surface, and disciple Su Xin happened to be visiting then, so I asked her to bring it home to restore it by her own efforts as a Dharma practice to help reduce her karmic debts. Yesterday she brought the polished statue back to me; and this morning, right before I woke up, I had the following lucid dream of inspiration:

 

Inside a large house I carried this holy statue in my left hand (in the dream there was a hook on its back, and I held the hook) and started to walk downstairs. The statue had no weight whatsoever, and was transparent like amber all over, and it emitted a soft brightness that enlightened everyone in the room (there were many people there). Then I walked downstairs through many levels, each level had a large room, and after the third level the holy statue disappeared. When I reached the lowest level, I walked outside the house, and outside it felt like the bottom of ocean and there were still many people there. And then I walked back inside the house and started to climb upward. When I reached the second from top level there was a passage way for people to go through in one line; on one side there is a monitor screen and, as soon as one person reached there, it showed the main feature of that person's next life, and then the person reported it to the official on the other side of the aisle. Now I remember only that one person said: "Only ten-odd hours (it means that his next life will be only a little over ten hours long)." Afterwards there were still some scenes from the dream, but those are of no relevance here, so I don't bother to recall and record them here.

 

We have worshiped and made offerings to this statue for more than a decade, but only now has it bestowed on us this inspirational appearance (on a Mother's Day); so I recorded it with reverence and took a photo to share it with all who have faith in Guan Yin. I believe that worshiping this holy statue should be beneficial to all hell-beings, and the epithet that came to mind immediately was (in Chinese) "Pu Zhao You Ming Guan Yin", and translated into English it is "Enlightening-All-Hell-Beings Guan Yin."

May your compassionate light shines through everywhere so that all beings in hells will soon attain perfect emancipation!
