通常請佛慈憫眾苦而住世教化愚迷
在施食鳥獸惡鬼、放生、超幽之際
體會此等救渡法務皆從上師教示而來
亦即師佛慈悲之不斷顯現
故即師佛慈悲之住世

師佛在世時
弟子不出離專修　常隨師學
則不能真正領受加持之助益
縱然肉身示滅
弟子依舊遵循教示　努力不懈
則必能不斷領受法身之加持及指示

請佛住世
渡生緣盡時自然入涅
遵循法教　勤勉奉行不斷
則佛之慈悲繼續住世
若明此理
則續佛慧命　佛子有責
且是責無旁貸
吾人能不奮勉於修行乎

Compassion Staying Alive

Ordinarily we plead to Buddha for staying in the world
To guide the deluded and ignorant beings
Out of merciful compassion for sentient beings' sufferings
While giving foods to birds and animals, to hungry ghosts
Or engaging in releasing of lives, or Powa services
I realized that all these salvation Dharma activities
Came down from Guru Chen's personal examples and teachings
Hence they amount to incessant reoccurrences of Guru's compassion
And show the staying alive of Guru's compassion

While Guru is in this world
If disciples don't renounce worldly engagements
To devote themselves wholeheartedly to Dharma activities
And to attend the Guru close by to learn and imitate
Then they cannot fully receive the benefits of Guru's blessings
Even though the physical body of Guru has ceased to appear
For disciples who can continue to abide by the teachings
And still diligently endeavor to sustain the Dharma activities
The blessing and guidance of Guru's Dharmakaya will
Continuously bestow onto them in vivid and yet mysterious ways

Even though we plead to Buddha for staying long in this world
When the conditions for sentient beings' conversion exhausted
Naturally Buddha will enter Nirvana
Abide by the Dharma teachings and continue to practice diligently
Then Buddha's compassion will continue to stay in this world
Once this point is comprehended
Then we, as sons and daughters of Buddha, have the responsibility
To continue Buddha's wisdom life in this world
And such responsibility is irreplaceable
How could we not make great efforts in our Dharma activities
