前行

安置普賢王如來壇城法脈皈依境、西方三聖像及地藏菩薩像。
陳供如常。 
頂禮三拜。

一、觀六道苦

合掌虔念:

天道福樂非究竟,五衰一現墮餘流;
修羅嗔嫉陷鬥爭,徒勞自他忙殺伐;
人間苦難未曾息,中陰迷茫逐習漂;
畜生終歸強食弱,巧取豪奪謀暫安;
餓鬼心貪行慳吝,枵腹細喉無食緣;
地獄層層酷刑增,無間苦楚無出期。
眾生漂流輪迴際,難逢佛緣盼救脫;
今順佛願行普渡,祈賜慈恩現佛土!
個業共業交相織,無從單求一己安;
整體悲懷契佛慈,為眾修軌佛必助!

二、發菩提心

合掌虔念:

願一切眾生具樂及樂因!
願一切眾生離苦及苦因!
願一切眾生不離無苦之樂!
願一切眾生遠離分別愛憎住平等捨!

願一切待渡眾生皆得往生淨土!
願一切淨土聖眾早日乘願再來,普濟一切有情!
願一切眾生早日成佛!

三、回歸本淨

結定印,默念三遍:

萬法皆緣成,相依而共存;
捨對立分別,現一體本淨。

觀想全法界回歸本來清淨,而呈現為無有邊限之天藍色光明。

四、整體救渡

觀想於此藍色光明中出現全法界之四聖及待渡六凡。

一切諸佛、菩薩、聲聞、緣覺、護法等聖眾,為加持及圓成此普渡大事,皆欣然降臨,並安住於行者前方之空中。西方極樂世界之阿彌陀佛居中,其右手側為觀世音菩薩,其左手側為大勢至菩薩,其前方稍低處則為地藏菩薩,觀世音菩薩前方稍低處則為二十一度母,大勢至菩薩前方稍低處則為毗沙門天王,而彼等則為極樂世界其餘一切聖眾所環繞。此等之外,則為所有其他淨土之佛、菩薩及聖眾,層層環繞。所有聖眾皆慈憫顧視六道待渡眾生。

應行者之祈請,地藏菩薩放無邊光明,招來所有待渡地獄眾,佇立於行者之後。
應行者之祈請,觀世音菩薩放無邊光明,招來所有待渡餓鬼,佇立於彼等之後。
應行者之祈請,救畜難度母放無邊光明,招來所有待渡畜生,佇立於彼等之後。
應行者之祈請,綠度母放無邊光明,招來所有待渡人類亡者,佇立於彼等之後。
應行者之祈請,大勢至菩薩放無邊光明,招來所有待渡阿修羅眾,佇立於彼等之後。
應行者之祈請,阿彌陀佛放無邊光明,招來所有待渡天人,佇立於彼等之後。
所有待渡眾生皆與行者同一面向。

五、皈依圓覺

合掌虔念三遍,並觀想一切待渡眾生皆仰望空中之佛法聖眾,而合聲齊念:

本來清淨陳祖師 金剛蓮華林上師 
文殊觀音正法脈 智悲融通傳十方

皈依金剛上師
皈依阿彌陀佛
皈依圓融佛法
皈依菩提聖眾

觀想一切聖眾皆因待渡眾生能明辨及抉擇解脫之道而感到欣慰,並由阿彌陀佛代表一切聖眾攝受待渡眾生之皈依。阿彌陀佛從心輪放出鮮明紅光照臨每一待渡眾生,為彼消業、培福、長養菩提。然後此紅光即進住每一待渡眾生心中,大小如一燭焰,永遠閃耀菩提光芒,照明菩提正道。

六、供奉求渡

觀想一切待渡有情皆欣喜參預廣大長遠之供奉,並與行者合聲齊念:

遍法界珍寶,傾明行證德,離惜遺供獻;
乞慈憫攝受,演妙法善巧,無疏漏救渡。

觀想一切聖眾皆因此等供奉純粹基於菩提心而欣喜接納、受用。一切聖眾皆得圓滿之受用。一切聖眾放五色光(藍、白、黃、紅、綠)充遍法界,加持一切待渡眾生。然後,阿彌陀佛以外之一切聖眾皆化光進入其心中。

在阿彌陀佛之心輪,顯現其報身,即是無量壽佛;而在無量壽佛之心輪,則顯現其法身,即是普賢王如來。

七、讚頌祈請

觀想六道待渡眾生合聲齊念;行者傾忱念誦,並可加用鈴、鼓、引磬、木魚等:

輪迴六道無出期,眾苦交逼無間息;
宿業深重無能償,大慈大悲方不棄;
佛緣難遇今得值,願蒙救脫出塵緣!

佛願深廣遍法界,含識企盼沐甘霖;
佛力無限能消業,淨土進修待證覺;
回歸本淨融整體,群生普渡順法緣。

觀想阿彌陀佛於聆讚後,因行者及待渡眾生之正信而大為歡喜。阿彌陀佛由心輪放出鮮明紅光,充遍法界,加持一切待渡眾生,令得消業淨垢。阿彌陀佛隨即以甘露灑淨待渡眾生之身、語、意業,並賜飲甘露以增長他們的慧命。

八、懺悔業障

觀想六道待渡眾生合聲齊念;行者傾忱念誦,竭誠懺悔業障:

大慈大悲救脫輪迴接引往生阿彌陀佛。願攝受我。我或今生或餘生。無始時來廣作眾罪。或自作或隨喜作或教他作。或偷盜佛物四方僧物。或自作或隨喜作或教他作。或造五無間罪十不善業道。或自作或隨喜作或教他作。由此業障覆蔽身心生於八難。或墮地獄傍生鬼趣。或生邊地及彌戾車。或生長壽天。設得人身諸根不具。或起邪見撥無因果。或厭諸佛出興於世。如是一切業障。我今對一切諸佛世尊之總集,阿彌陀佛,具一切智者具五眼者。證實際者稱量者。知者見者前。我今誠心悉皆懺悔不敢覆藏。願我尸羅律儀復得如故。復願諸佛世尊之總集,阿彌陀佛攝受護念證明於我。若我今生或復餘生。無始時來於流轉生死。或曾捨施傍生一團之食。或曾持一淨戒。或曾修梵行善根。或曾修少分無上智善根。悉皆合集計校籌量。如三世一切諸佛於最勝無上迴向願中。願皆迴向無上正等菩提。

觀想阿彌陀佛於聆讚後,憐憫待渡眾生之誠悃,放紅光照臨待渡眾生,消盡彼等一切業障。

九、施身開慧

觀想從普賢王如來心輪放出白光,從光中忽然顯現,由媽幾腦準祖師所化現之黑色金剛亥母。觀想六道一切待渡眾生之業障罪苦皆化光進入行者心輪。依施身法,亥母即將行者之身,完全奉獻於上供聖眾,下施待渡眾生。經過施身法之加持,待渡眾生不僅業障消盡,更得以使得本有智慧自然生起。

十、三身頗瓦

觀想無量壽佛從阿彌陀佛之心輪上升,安住於其頂上;而後普賢王如來則從無量壽佛之心輪上升,安住於其頂上。

觀想一切待渡眾生皆化光進入阿彌陀佛之心輪。

行者修三身頗瓦法,令一切待渡眾生得以進入阿彌陀佛之極樂世界。

十一、傳承加持

普賢王如來壇城法脈皈依境祈請頌
   
本來清淨無限一體中 普賢王如來父母示現
智悲雙運妙相表法身 法流任運教化大千界

為渡輪迴六道諸苦眾 創立佛法釋迦牟尼尊
無上密法安立於雪域 恩源虹身蓮花生祖師

以身供師無上大樂母 曼達拉娃垂教示楷模
為師作傳總集密法藏 移喜磋嘉弘傳密教恩

法脈始祖根本上師三 諾那活佛開示大圓滿
貢噶祖師大灌授四印 親尊師祖灌盡五百尊

本來清淨文殊陳祖師 顯密圓融弘揚三乘恩
苦行證德歷代所罕見 慈住娑婆但為渡眾生

金剛蓮華觀音林上師 深入淺出廣闡經論旨
法行服務教化東西方 法脈金法延續一肩擔

無微不至照拂護法恩 韋馱菩薩提攜一路跟
前程安排仰賴毗沙門 萬事交代多虧海龍王

如護陳師未暫離 恩光及我以利眾

大海龍王讚             

龍心慈憫比海深 雨露普降潤大千 
寶瓶垂納為菩提 福緣眾生咸蒙恩

龍王龍后慈悲深 推廣弘揚理繁瑣 
鉅細靡遺周全護 恩遍全球德澤長

十二、迴向菩提

一、願具德上師長住世,已辭世者早降誕。
二、願人類邪說暴行早日停止,佛法弘揚無礙。
三、願我及眾生精勤佛道,即生即身圓滿佛果,永無退轉。
四、願我及眾生慈悲增長,直至圓滿佛果,永無退轉。
五、願我及眾生智慧增長,直至圓滿佛果,永無退轉。

本來清淨瑜伽士 雙運妙化蓮華生 
空樂大喜無等倫 願祈師壽恒駐世

祈請 林上師長久住世永轉法輪偈

蓮師密法依尊傳 文殊慧燈依尊續 
唐密精義依尊明 祈師長壽轉法輪

傳承綿延廣化偈

代代相傳正法髓 承先啟後轉法輪 
綿延法脈聖眾守 遍照普濟無盡燈

Compassionate Salvation of Samsara Beings Ritual

 

Reverently Compiled by Guru Yutang Lin

 

Preliminaries

Set up the Thangka of Adi Buddha Mandala Dharma Lineage Tree, the holy image of the Three Holinesses of the Western Pureland, and the image of Bodhisattva Earth Treasure.
Arrange offerings as usual. 
Do prostrations three times.

1. Observing Sufferings in the Six Realms

Fold palms together and sincerely recite:

Enjoyments in Heavenly realms are not everlasting,
As five signs of decay appear heavenly beings fall into lower realms;
Asuras engulfed in fighting born of envy and hatred,
Causing them and others to busy with wars in vain;
Hardship and suffering never ceased in the human realm,
During Bardo people are confused and just drift with habits;
For animals, ultimately, it is just a matter of strong eating weak,
Taking advantages through tricks or violence to gain moment’s ease;
Hungry ghosts are greedy in mind and stingy in actions,
With stomach empty and throat thread-thin, they cannot find food;
 Levels of Hells are ever severer in all sorts of cruel tortures,
Unendurable sufferings continue incessantly while exit time none.
As sentient beings drift in the cycling of transmigration in six realms,
It is rare to gain connection with Dharma despite their longing for salvation;
Now according to Buddha′s Vows the universal salvation ritual is performed,
Pray that Compassionate Grace is granted to reveal the Pureland here!
Personal karma is intertwined with common karma,
No way to seek merely individual relief from sufferings;
Compassion for all beings matches Buddha′s mercy,
Practicing this ritual for all beings will surely gain Buddha′s blessing!

2. Developing Bodhicitta

Fold palms together and sincerely recite:

May all beings have happiness and its causes!
May all beings be free from suffering and its causes!
May all beings enjoy the fruits of Dharma which are beyond suffering!
May all beings abide in the equanimity which renounces all worldly discriminations!

May all beings waiting for salvation all gain rebirth in Pureland!
May all holy beings in Pureland come back sooner to fulfill their Bodhi Vows in saving all beings!
May all beings attain Enlightenment soon!

3. Returning to Original Purity

Rest the hands in Dhyana mudra, and silently recite three times:

All things are conditional phenomena,
Mutually dependent and coexistent;
Renouncing antagonistic discriminations,
All appear as original purity in oneness.

Visualize the whole Dharmadhatu returns to original purity, and appears as boundless sky-blue light.

4. Salvation in Totality

Visualize that all the four classes of holy beings and the six realms of sentient beings waiting for salvation appear from this blue light.

In order to bless and help accomplish perfectly this great deed of universal salvation, all the holy beings: Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arahats, Pratyeka-Buddhas, Dharma Protectors, etc. gladly appear in the space in front of the practitioner. At the center is the Amitabha Buddha of the Western Utmost Joy Pureland; on his right-hand side is Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara; on his left-hand side is Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta; in front of Amitabha Buddha, at a bit lower spot, is Bodhisattva Earth Treasure; in front of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, at a bit lower spot, are the 21 Taras; and in front of Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, at a bit lower spot, is the Northern Heavenly King Vaisravana; and they are surrounded by all holy beings of the Western Utmost Joy Pureland. These are in turn surrounded by layers after layers of all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and holy beings of all other Purelands. All holy beings, with great compassion, look attentively at all the waiting-for-salvation sentient beings below.

Responding to the practitioner′s earnest beseeching, Bodhisattva Earth Treasure emits boundless lights to summon all hell beings waiting for salvation to come standing behind the practitioner.
Responding to the practitioner′s earnest beseeching, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara emits boundless lights to summon all hungry ghosts waiting for salvation to come standing behind those mentioned above.
Responding to the practitioner′s earnest beseeching, the Savior of Herds Tara emits boundless lights to summon all animals waiting for salvation to come standing behind those mentioned above.
Responding to the practitioner′s earnest beseeching, Green Tara emits boundless lights to summon all deceased humans waiting for salvation to come standing behind those mentioned above.
Responding to the practitioner′s earnest beseeching, Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta emits boundless lights to summon all Asuras waiting for salvation to come standing behind those mentioned above.
Responding to the practitioner′s earnest beseeching, Amitabha Buddha emits boundless lights to summon all heavenly beings waiting for salvation to come standing behind those mentioned above.
All sentient beings waiting for salvation are facing the same direction as the practitioner.

5. Taking Refuge in Perfect Enlightenment

Fold palms together and sincerely recite three times the following refuge formula while visualizing that all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings are gazing with admiration at the holy ones in the sky and recite together in unison:

Original Purity, oh, Patriarch Guru Chen!
Vajra Lotus, oh, Guru Lin!
The Right Dharma lineage of Manjusri and Guan Yin,
Harmonized wisdom and compassion to spread everywhere!

I take refuge in the Vajra Guru.
I take refuge in Amitabha Buddha.
I take refuge in harmonious Buddha Dharma.
I take refuge in holy beings of Bodhi.

Visualize that all holy beings are rejoicing over waiting-for-salvation sentient beings′ability to recognize and choose the path toward liberation. Amitabha Buddha, on behalf of all holy beings, grants refuge to all sentient beings waiting for salvation. From the heart chakra of Amitabha Buddha rays of bright red light radiate forth to each and every waiting-for-salvation sentient being. In this way, each waiting-for-salvation sentient being′s bad karma is eradicated, merits increased, and Bodhicitta nurtured. This ray of bright red light then stays, like a candle flame, in the heart of each waiting-for-salvation sentient being, shines forth the light of Bodhi, and sheds light on the right path of Bodhi forever.

6. Making Offerings for Salvation

Visualize that all sentient beings waiting for salvation take delight in participating in the making of extensive and long-term offerings and donations, and that they join the practitioner in reciting in unison the following stanza:

Filling the whole Dharmadhatu with treasures,
Pouring all attainments of the wisdom path,
Offered without reluctance nor omission;

Beg to accept out of compassion and empathy,
Exhibit skillful display of the wondrous Dharma,
Salvage beings without neglect nor omission.

Visualize that all holy beings are delighted by the Bodhicitta which is the pure motivation underlying these offerings, and therefore gladly accept and enjoy the offerings. Each and every holy being obtains complete enjoyment of all sorts. All holy beings emit lights in blue, white, yellow, red and green color that enlighten the whole Dharmadhatu and give blessings to all sentient beings waiting for salvation. And then all holy beings, other than Amitabha Buddha, transform into lights and then merge into the heart chakra of Amitabha Buddha.

At the heart chakra of Amitabha Buddha his Sambhogakaya, Amitayus—the Buddha of Immeasurable Life-span, appears; while at the heart chakra of Amitayus the Dharmakaya of Amitabha, Adi Buddha, appears.

7. Praising in Supplication

Recite with ardent devotion and may use accompanying Dharma instruments such as bell, drum, inverted bell (Yin Qing) and wooden fish; visualize that all sentient beings waiting for salvation join the practitioner in ardently reciting in unison the following praise:

Cycling in the six worldly realms without any date of exit,
All sorts of suffering take turns to oppress us incessantly;
Karmic debts, too heavy a burden, are beyond compensation,
Only Universal Compassion and Mercy won′t renounce us;
Dharma connections hardly available and yet present here,
Please grant us salvation to escape from worldly sufferings!

Buddhas′ Vows are profound and expansive throughout the Dharmadhatu,
All with awareness are longing for the blessing shower of Dharma nectars;
Buddhas′ powers are limitless and capable of eradicating karmic debts,
Practicing in Pureland to advance on the enlightened path till full attainment;
Returning to Original Purity and merging into the totality of all-in-oneness,
Universal salvation of all beings will take place according to Dharma conditions.

Visualize that Amitabha Buddha, upon hearing this praise, is very pleased by the right faith of the practitioner and the waiting-for-salvation sentient beings. Amitabha Buddha emits bright red lights from his heart chakra shining through the whole Dharmadhatu and giving blessings to all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings so that their karmic debts and habitual attachments are all cleared. Then Amitabha Buddha sprinkles showers of nectar upon waiting-for-salvation sentient beings to purify their karma of body, speech and mind. The nectar is also granted for them to drink in order to nourish their wisdom lifespan.

8. Repentance over Karmic Hindrances

Visualize that all sentient beings waiting for salvation join the practitioner in ardently reciting in unison the following repentance statement:

The great compassionate and merciful Amitabha Buddha, who saves beings out of Samsara and guide them to gain rebirth in Pureland, please look after us! In this life or other lives, since time without beginning, a wide variety of sinful actions have been committed either by myself or by others with my approval or instigation. For example, stealing or robbing Buddhist possessions or the belongings of monks and nuns either by myself or by others with my approval or instigation. Or, committing the five unending sins or the ten non-virtuous types of karmas either by myself or by others with my approval or instigation. Such karmic hindrance covers and restricts both body and mind, resulting in birth in eight kinds of disadvantageous environments. They are: falling into hells, animal realms or hungry ghost realms; or in areas without Dharma and races that are antagonistic to the Dharma; or in long-lasting heavenly realms that have no mental activities; or born as disabled humans; or adopting wrong views to insist on no causality; or disliking the appearance of Buddhas in the world. Now in front of Amitabha Buddha, the embodiment of all Buddhas, world-honored ones, who possess all-encompassing wisdom, possess five kinds of eyes, attain realization of reality in exact measure, know and see, I sincerely repent over all such karmic hindrances, and dare not conceal any. May my Sila observance be redeemed to its original perfection. Furthermore, may Amitabha Buddha, the embodiment of all Buddhas, world-honored ones, accept and take care of me and be my witness. If in this life or other lives, since my transmigration from time without beginning, have I ever given animals one ball of food, or sustained one rule of pure conduct, or practiced pure conducts and cultivated roots of goodness, or cultivated in small measure the good roots of unsurpassable wisdom, then all such merits are to be gathered and counted together so as to dedicate all of them toward the unsurpassable right and all-encompassing enlightenment, just as all Buddhas in their most supreme and unsurpassable dedication of merits would do in the past, present and future.

Visualize that Amitabha Buddha, upon hearing this repentance, is merciful toward the sincerity of the practitioner and the waiting-for-salvation sentient beings. Amitabha Buddha emits bright red lights from his heart chakra shining through the whole Dharmadhatu and giving blessings to all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings to eradicate all their karmic debts and hindrances.

9. Developing Wisdom through Chod

Visualize that from the heart chakra of Adi Buddha bright ray of white light shines forth, and suddenly in this ray a transformation of Matriarch Machig Labdron in the form of black Vajra Yogini appears. Visualize that all karmic debts, hindrances and sufferings, due to sins committed, of all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings transform into lights and enter the heart chakra of the practitioner. In accordance with the Chod practice, the Vajra Yogini offers the body of the practitioner completely to the holy beings and also to all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings. Through the blessing of this Chod practice, all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings not only have all their karmic hindrances eradicated but also rendered capable of having their innate wisdom arise naturally.

10. Three-kaya Powa

Visualize that, from the heart chakra of Amitabha Buddha, Amitayus rises straight up to stay in the space atop Amitabha; and then, from the heart chakra of Amitayus, Adi Buddha rises straight up to stay in the space atop Amitayus.

Visualize that all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings transform into lights and then enter into the heart chakra of Amitabha Buddha.

The practitioner practices the Three-kaya Powa so as to enable all waiting-for-salvation sentient beings to reach and reside in the Utmost Joy Pureland of Amitabha Buddha.

11. Supplication for Lineage Blessings

Supplication to the Refuge Tree of the Dharma Lineage of Adi Buddha Mandala  
 
Amid limitless oneness of original purity
Father and Mother in union, Adi Buddha appears
Harmony of wisdom and compassion
        The wondrous image represents Dharmakaya
As the flow of Dharma spreads naturally
       The whole Dharmadhatu is blessed through conversion

To liberate all suffering beings from transmigration in the six realms
Sakyamuni Buddha founded the Dharma teachings
Tantric teachings without peers well established in the snow land
The source of such grace is the rainbow-body Padmasambhava

Offered body to Guru, the unsurpassable mother of great pleasure
Mandarava set example to reveal profound teachings
Compiled biography and essential teachings of Guru Rinpoche
Yeshe Tsogyal spread and continued the Tantric teachings

Root Gurus of the founder of our Dharma lineage are three holy ones
Nona Tulku revealed to Guru Chen the Great Perfection
Patriarch Gangkar transmitted Four Seals through great initiations
Patriarch Papong Khyentse bestowed over five hundred initiations

Patriarch Chen, Manjusri of Original Purity
Harmonized Sutrayana and Tantrayana to propound the three-yanas-in-one
Accomplished in austerity and attainment that are rare over the ages
Compassionately stays in this suffering world just to save all beings

Guru Lin, Guan Yin of Vajra Lotus
Expressed profound teachings in simple words
        Widely expounded the essence of many Dharma teachings
Through Dharma services of all sorts
        Spreading the teachings to the East and the West
Continuation and sustenance of the golden teachings
        Of our lineage rest squarely on his shoulders

Taking care of all details is the grace of our lineage protectors
Leading us all the way is the Wei Tuo Bodhisattva
Arranging matters ahead depends on Heavenly King Vaisravana
Trusting with all matters relies on the Dragon King of Pacific Ocean

Oath-bound blacksmith, the Honorable Damchen Dorje Legpa
Holding up this root of Tantra just as he protected Guru Rinpoche
Just and loyal Guan Gong, the great protector of monasteries
Continue to display your loyalty by removing hindrances to the lineage

Establishment of our lineage is simply for salvation of suffering beings
Continuation of our lineage all depends on the blessing of these holy ones
Through taking refuge in our lineage we merge into Bodhicitta
We spread teachings of our lineage to convert suffering beings
        And in their salvation is our reward to the profound compassionate grace

A Prayer for Yogi Chens Blessings

Prostration to all refuges of the great grace lineage 
As unified in Patriarch Chen, a personification of Manjusri. 
Pray the faithful ones be blessed with wishes fulfilled; 
May they from suffering depart and happiness gain, 
Forever merits accumulate and wisdom grow.

Soon merits accumulate and wisdom grow to fulfillment.

Prostration to all refuges of the great grace lineage
As unified in Guru Lin, a personification of Guan Yin
Grant me realization of original purity of greed as it arises
Bless me to attain unity of clarity and selfless nature of joy 
Abiding in rainbow body to extend salvation upon suitable vessels
Revealing wondrous teachings to save all beings in the six realms

Supplication to Bodhisattva Wei-Tuo

Protector of Buddha Dharma, a great knight, 
Followed by the Four Cardinal Heavenly Kings, 
Worshipped in all Chinese monasteries, 
Help spread holy Dharma with all your might!

You hold practitioners to be your children, 
Always give timely encouragement and provision. 
Just as you helped Guru Yogi Chen all the way, 
Please keep me in your favor to benefit all!

Praise to the Dragon King

The compassion of Dragon King′s mind is deeper than oceans; 
Rain and dew drops showered everywhere to moisten the world. 
Receiving vase offerings to promote aspirations toward Bodhi, 
Sentient beings with lucky connections are all blessed by thy grace.

Supplication to the Dragon King

Dragon King and Dragon Queen sustained compassion profound.
Spreading and propagating the Dharma, they took care of chores.
Without overlooking matters major or minor, they guarded well.
Their grace spread the world over, and their virtuous favors last!

12. Dedicating Merits toward Bodhi

1. May virtuous gurus remain with us and those departed return soon! 
2. May perverse views and violence soon become extinct and Dharma spread without hindrance!
3. May all beings proceed diligently on the path and achieve Buddhahood before death! 
4. May all beings develop Great Compassion and never regress until they reach perfect Buddhahood!
5. May all beings develop Great Wisdom and never regress until they reach perfect Buddhahood!

Longevity prayer for Guru Lin

Oh, originally pure yogi you are!
Wonderful conversion through Ewam as the Lotus-born Guru; 
The great joy in Sunyata is peerless,
May the Holy Guru live long and abide in this world!

Tantric teachings of Guru Rinpoche rely on Your Reverence to pass on,
Wisdom lamp of Manjusri rely on Your Reverence to continue shinning,
Marrow of Tang Tantras rely on Your Reverence to reveal and explicate,
Please stay long in this world to benefit all with your salvation activities!

Ever Spreading of the Lineage

Marrow of the Right Dharma passed down from generation to generation,
Succeeding predecessors and leading followers to turn the Dharma Wheel,
Everlasting pure lineage guided by holy Gurus and guarded by Protectors,
A never-ending lamp shining through everywhere to enlighten all beings!
