修法的領悟 林鈺堂
傍晚經行做功課，念著⟨心經⟩，忽然想到，佛菩薩爲什麽要宣揚此經？因爲在眾苦層出不窮的世間，這是唯一徹底解脫的途徑。而我們每天持誦，就是在設法使得此途徑能在世間延續，接引有緣信受的衆生。每天持念的佛號、咒語，就是可能接引種種衆生的修法及修途。一有這樣的領悟，做功課就不再只是習慣性的重複行爲，而帶著清明與寧靜，一心地進行著。

Comprehension Born of Dharma Practice Yutang Lin
Late afternoon, while doing daily Dharma practice as I walked, as I recited the ″Heart Sutra″, suddenly I thought of, why did Buddha and Bodhisattva propound the Sutra? It is because in the worldly realms where all sorts of suffering are prevalent, this is the only path leading to complete emancipation. And our daily recitation is an attempt to sustain this path in the worldly realms so as to be able to help and guide sentient beings who have the opportunity to comprehend and adopt the teachings. The Buddha epithets and mantras we recited daily are Dharma practices and paths that could help and guide all sorts of sentient beings. As soon as such comprehension attained, daily Dharma practice no longer remains a habitual and repetitive behavior, but with clarity and tranquility, done wholeheartedly.
