In the email below disciple Jing Xing suggested that transcripts of my talks be refined so they will be easier for people to read.
在以下弟子惟欽的電郵中,他建議將我演講所作的錄音整理作品,稍做潤飾及修繕以令大眾容易閱讀。

And I reply as follows:
我的回覆如下:

Usually I preserve those colloquial expressions so people can get into the situation of listening to the speaker.
通常我之所以保留這些口語化的表達,是為了讓大家能夠進入聆聽演講者的情狀。

It is also a literary style that try to present the way people speak but not how literate the author is.
這也是一種試著呈現人們說話的文風,而不是表現作者的文學修養如何。

For well-written ones, I also have many.
至於順暢的作品,我也有很多。

So this kind I preserve them as colloquial. It is more difficult to read, so it requires the reader to read more carefully to comprehend the meanings.
因此這類我保留口語化的文風,由於它更不好讀,因此它讓讀者必需更仔細的來讀它,以便能領會其意義。

This is a question raised by some in the past, so I Bcc this reply to all on my list, and we will also post it on our websites.
這個問題以前已有某些人提起,所以我以密件回覆給我名單中所有的人,並且我們會將此篇上傳到我們的網頁。

May all beings attain Enlightenment soon!
願一切眾生早日成佛!

Ven. Guru,
尊貴的上師,

Upasaka Man Soon has suggested that some of the transcripts of Dharma talks may be amended and refined, so as to delete the irrelevant words and not to be too colloquial, as such it will be easier to read and I also have the same feeling. What is the kind consideration of Guru? Please.
文信居士建議說一些由錄音整理出來之作品,稍為再潤飾及修繕,也就是把有些不相關的話刪掉,不要太口語話,這樣會讓文章更好讀。而弟子也有同感。不知上師慈意如何?
