An Angel's Visit

Yutang Lin

Walking in space with large wings gently flipping,
An angel in white robe came to visit the puja altar.
Standing in the air she waved back to me,
With solemn expression she bestowed blessings.

This morning right before I woke up I had a dream:

I went to Tan Seong Yeow's place to perform a small-scale fire puja and smoke puja. While waiting for the preparations suddenly an angel came walking in space, the manner was just the same as how we ordinarily walk. The angel wore white clothing that is open on the back, and the two wings, rather large in size, were white. The wings spread and gently flipped twice or thrice, and then folded. Once folded the wings became unnoticeable. The angel stood in the air and turned toward me. Then I saw that the angel was female. I waved to her, and she waved back. I folded my palms together in respect and bowed to her, saying: Thank you for your honoring presence. Then she beckoned someone by my side. With solemn expression and attentive gaze she extended her right hand and turned her open palm clockwise and counter-clockwise several times in the air as if she was removing some obstacles. I looked at her dignified face and found it no different from us humans. She wore a short white robe and a white skirt with straight broad folded stripes. The skirt covered down to half of the lower legs. This was the first time that I had witnessed an angel as described in Western cultures. I recorded it in details to remember her graceful blessings.
