Walking on Solid Ground

Yutang Lin

Staying closely on the right path as if being stubborn,
Seeing thoroughly causal consequences dare not depart.
Delusions could hardly escape the breakthrough of reality;
Suffering and hardship would propel the search for salvation.

Comment:

When the way of how things work is understood one would not act in disregard of causal consequences. Superficially, this would seem like being stubborn. Willfully acting on ignorance or delusions, sooner or later one will have to face the inevitable consequences. Deep in suffering, one would naturally look for emancipation. Depending on early or late awakening, action and abstinence vary. Nevertheless, fundamentally it is the same: fear of suffering and desire for comfort.
