Relaxing

Yutang Lin

Straight talk readily poured easily stirs dusts up.
Personal habits hard to change; any suggestion?
Instead of forcing oneself to keep silence golden,
Why not open eyes and learn to relax in slowing down?

Comment:

Some asked, "How to learn to control speeches and actions out of impulse?" Instead of trying to control and thereby increase the tension, it would be better to open one’s eyes to long-term and wider-scope perspectives, and to slow down the pace of one’s activities and responses. In this way both body and mind would be more relaxed, and harmony among people may be increased. Thus anxiety and hustle might be avoided.
