Blaming

Yutang Lin

Blaming others for imperfection adds confusion;
Limited by fixed views, one could not see freely.
Human lives are transient, no time for complaint.
Clear mind's field to grow lotuses of compassion.

Comments:

Blaming others often becomes incessant inside, and causes lack of ease and peace. Putting demands for perfection into speech or action would stir up many explanations and responses, adding more confusion without providing a solution. Basically, blaming is just an expression of being tied down by fixed views. As one could not see freely one would not be able to let go. Impermanence would face us at any moment; don't waste your time and life within the confine of complaint. Let everything go, and then, with a fresh and clear mind, cultivate compassion beyond worldly considerations.
