Shared Fate

Yutang Lin

Complicated common karma forms world muddy;
Artificial treatments could hardly sort things clear.
Wind blows waves spreading across the entire sea;
Consequences of our activities are shared by us all.

Comments:

Worldly affairs are too confused and muddy; matters involving people are beyond human to sort clear. Sorting threads even adds complications; tolerant yielding could reduce fighting. Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, leads to vicious circles; stormy weather casts over the whole world. Whatever we do will bring certain consequences; for better or for worse we could not help but share them together.

In order for the world to have peace it is necessary that all people share the realization that, whatever we do individually will bring about consequences that will affect the whole world. No one could do something harmful to others without being harmed by its consequences.
