Causes and Consequences

Yutang Lin

Sufferings continuous render salvation activities endless;
No time to be distracted, maintain wholehearted prayers.
Causes match consequences, such are the rules prevalent.
Hindered by heavy karmas, very few reflect accordingly.

Comment:

Sufferings in the world are continuous and contagious endlessly. Reactions to suffering tend to bring about more problems. Therefore, praying for sentient beings becomes a practitioner's daily activity. Unfortunately many sentient beings would not ponder upon the prevailing fact that causes match consequences. They would like to obtain the benefits of prayers but do not make efforts to reduce karmic hindrances and cultivate meritorious deeds. If one pays attention to the rule of "like causes, like consequences," is prudent in one's speeches and actions, and engages in Dharma practices and services, then one's future will certainly becomes brighter gradually.
