Tolerate through

Yutang Lin

Willingly tolerate temporary insults and trespassing;
In the long run real benefits gained through this way.
Lest animosity accumulated be difficult to evaporate,
Unwittingly the rest of life snared into entanglement.

Comment:

Even though being infringed upon is obvious, refrain from fighting back. When viewed in the long run, freedom from trivial hassles is more valuable. Grasping to hostility to engage in mutual revenges means endless sorrows and worries. Tolerate through transient matters, the rest of life would be easier with less to worry about.
