Disturbing
      Yutang Lin

Commenting on others' faults and shortcomings
And arguing about others' right or wrong
Basically are just moments of disturbance of one's own mind
As to the originally peaceful state of mind
It is disturbed by grasping to outer impressions
As to the fact that beyond grasping nothing could disturb the mind
It is indeed just a self-disturbance
Brief and transient days and hours
        Fleeting health and strength
        Meager mental capacities
How much disturbance could be sustained
Not realizing this, self-disturbances will not come to rest
Once realized, one no longer wastes one's attentions
To reach peaceful and harmonious state of mind
        Such wisdom is a must
To be able to renounce arguments and criticisms
So that matters cease and people remain at ease
